ATTENTION ON DECK! MCL UNIFORM REGULATIONS

How many lapel pins can you wear with your red blazer? Which ones? Can I wear my baseball cap with a Marine Corps  emblem during a meeting?  When is it appropriate to wear your MCL red cover?  Here are some extracts from the MCL Uniform manual that provide the answers to those questions.  Also, you can down-load the regulations for your file.

Time is moving fast and I have not received any National individual recruiting award nomination. This will be my only reminder on this and I like to see these nominations sent to me ASAP. Send to tmorgan@mcleague.org See below criteria: 

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP RECRUITING AWARDS Each and every year, a special form (see Enclosure Four (4)) must be filled out by the individual member and signed by the Detachment Commandant and Detachment Adjutant/Paymaster. The form may be submitted to the National Junior Vice Commandant by the stated deadline either in hard copy form via mail or electronic format via an e-mail attachment; such attachment can be either a scanned copy of the properly completed and signed form or a Word document with electronic signatures. An "electronic" Signature consisting of the submitting officer's membership number in place of the officer's handwritten signature shall be acceptable for electronic submissions. 

RECRUITING AWARDS.  Recruiting Awards will be issued as follows: (a) A Citation will be given to those members who have recruited 5 - 24 members during the year. (b) A National Recruiters Medal-Bronze and a Distinguished Service Award Citation (signifying the accomplishment) will be presented to those members who have recruited 25-49 members during the year. (c) A National Recruiters Medal - Silver and a Distinguished Service Award Citation (signifying the accomplishment) and a plaque will be presented to those members who have recruited 50 plus members during the year. (d) The top Recruiter of the Year, the one individual member that has recruited the most members through his/her individual efforts will be presented the National Recruiters Medal - Gold (appropriately engraved), and a plaque in the shape of the United States with his/her name engraved thereon and the Distinguished Service Award Certificate (signifying the accomplishment).
